Sustainability at Helen of Troy Apparel
At Helen of Troy Apparel Beverly Hills, sustainability is not an afterthought—it is the foundation.
From design to delivery, we are intentional about every choice we make:
creating timeless pieces in ways that honor both people and planet.
Our commitment is simple yet uncompromising:
to craft responsibly, reduce waste, and support systems that give more than they take.
Each collection is made with care, guided by the belief that luxury should leave a lighter footprint.
Created With Purpose, Not Excess
The fashion industry is weighed down by overproduction, with nearly 1 in 5 textiles left unsold. At Helen of Troy Apparel, we eliminate this waste by creating each piece only after you order it—designed with purpose, not excess.
Artistry with a Lighter Footprint
We use advanced production methods that save water, energy, and resources:
Embroidery:
We stitch using 100% recycled polyester threads (Oeko-Tex™ certified), offering durability and waste reduction compared to traditional printing methods.
Printing:
Many of our garments use Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing. This water-based, vegan ink process is energy-efficient and free from harmful chemicals. All inks are Oeko-Tex™ certified, and excess ink is disposed of responsibly.
Materials That Honor the Earth
We prioritize materials with a lower environmental impact. Many of our products are made with at least 70% organic or recycled content and are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) or Recycled Claim Standard (RCS).
Packaging With a Second Life
Your order is packaged using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers, made from items like recycled plastic bottles and bags. Our PCR packaging contains at least 70% recycled content—helping to reduce new plastic production and environmental impact.
Closer to You, Kinder to the Earth
About 78% of our orders are fulfilled and shipped within the same region—reducing transport distances and carbon emissions. We operate fulfillment centers across the U.S. (Charlotte, NC & Los Angeles, CA), as well as Canada, Mexico, Latvia, Spain, Australia, and Japan. Localized Fulfillment = Lower Emissions
Recycling & Giving Back
Nothing Goes to Waste
Returns and damaged items aren't discarded—they're donated to organizations like The Red Cross, Goodwill, and The American Kidney Fund.
In Mexico and Charlotte, we work with waste partners like Geocycle and Martex to recycle fabric scraps and prevent landfill overflow.
Thank you for being part of our journey
Your support helps us create pieces that care for people, the planet, and the generations to come.
